Name: Collen Makumbirofa
Title: Entrepreneur, Human Rights Advocate, and Philanthropist
About Me:
As a refugee in South Africa for the past 20 years, I have experienced firsthand the challenges of displacement and marginalization. However, my determination and resilience have driven me to make a positive impact in my community. I have dedicated my life to advocating for refugee and immigrant rights, ensuring that their voices are heard and their dignity is respected.
My Passion:
My passion for philanthropy and community development has led me to assist over 450 Zimbabweans with food parcels during the COVID-19 economic shutdown. This experience reinforced my belief that business can be a powerful tool for breaking the bondage of poverty. I am committed to creating sustainable solutions that promote economic empowerment and social inclusion.
My Vision:
My vision is to establish a thriving business that not only generates wealth but also creates opportunities for marginalized communities. Through my entrepreneurial endeavors, I aim to inspire a new generation of leaders who prioritize social responsibility and community development.
My Values:
- Empowerment through education and economic opportunities
- Social justice and human rights
- Philanthropy and community development
- Resilience and determination
- Innovative and sustainable solutions
My Story:
From refugee to entrepreneur, my journey has been marked by challenges and triumphs. I have learned that with hard work, determination, and a willingness to take risks, anyone can overcome adversity and achieve their goals. I am proud to be a symbol of hope and inspiration for those who have faced similar struggles.
