As someone who deeply loves nature, rivers, and trees, I believe it is our duty to protect and nurture the environment that sustains us all. That’s why I am excited to introduce Green Pathways, a project dedicated to planting trees in Johannesburg, South Africa, starting in 2026. Our vision doesn’t stop there—we plan to expand our efforts to Chegutu, Zimbabwe, in 2027.

Trees are not just a part of our landscape; they are vital to our wellbeing. They provide oxygen, support biodiversity, combat climate change, and bring serenity to our communities. Yet, many of us are witnesses to the unnecessary destruction of these precious resources. It’s time we change that narrative.

Green Pathways promotes planting drought-resistant trees that can thrive even in dry conditions. These resilient trees are not only easy to care for but also cost-effective, making them accessible for everyone. Our goal is to create lush, green corridors across Johannesburg and beyond, ensuring a healthier environment for future generations.

I urge everyone to love trees and, in turn, love humanity. Every tree planted is a step toward a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable world. Let’s join hands to make Johannesburg and Chegutu greener and more vibrant.
