Economic Sanctions are Evil and Unchristian

Rulers in nation A are doing wrong things, including rigging elections. They have no mandate from God and lack the approval of the people to rule over country A. In short, it’s an illegitimate authority.

Other countries impose economic sanctions on country A. The people battling the rulers of country A are seriously affected. Meanwhile, the rulers are obviously rich and can steal more money, therefore will not be effectively impacted by these sanctions. In fact, sanctions are emboldening the mafia rulers and destroying the innocent.

I don’t believe in economic sanctions. Economic sanctions are wicked and from the devil. Sanctions against a country represent a skewed understanding of the world. It’s akin to burning the whole bush to catch a rabbit—destroying ordinary people instead of empowering them to pursue righteousness.

I will never be a slave in my thinking.
