Why I Will Not Demonize South Africa

For the past 20 years, South Africa has been more than just a country to me — it has been a home, a sanctuary of humanity and resilience. Throughout my time there, I have encountered the most incredible people of all races and tribes. South Africans are, without question, some of the best people in the world. Their kindness, endurance, and deep sense of humanity are truly inspiring.

I have been privileged to be hosted by the South African people and protected by their government and police. Their warmth and humanitarian spirit have left an indelible mark on my heart. In a world often marred by division and hatred, I have seen the true spirit of Ubuntu—the profound sense of community, compassion, and interconnectedness that defines South Africa.

While I am aware that there are private groups and individuals filled with hostility and negativity, I firmly believe they do not represent the essence of South Africa and its people. The nation’s true character is rooted in unity, resilience, and hope. These negative voices are but a small fraction compared to the overwhelming kindness and strength of the majority.

Therefore, I refuse to demonize South Africa or support sanctions that could cause its people to suffer. It pains me deeply to see any harm come to a nation that has shown me such warmth and generosity. My loyalty and love for South Africa remain unwavering. I pray for the continued unity and harmony among its diverse communities.

God bless South Africa. May peace, unity, and prosperity reign across its land, and may its people always stand strong together.
