In a brazen act of deceit, a white man named Wagener Andz has scammed me out of R800 after pretending to sell a laptop on Facebook Marketplace. This malicious act took place on the evening of Wednesday, 6 May 2026, when I transferred the money to his Capitec Bank account (0797273757) to purchase the device for spare parts. What followed was a textbook example of fraud and dishonesty.
Immediately after receiving my payment, Wagener Andz blocked me on all communication channels. Despite my efforts to contact him twice through different WhatsApp accounts, he refused to respond and continued to evade justice. This act of stealing is not only wicked but morally reprehensible. Stealing destroys trust, damages lives, and erodes the foundation of our society. It is imperative that we stand against such conduct and promote a culture of integrity and accountability.
I have taken the necessary steps to seek justice. I reported the incident to Capitec Bank, which has initiated an investigation and provided me with a Case Reference Number: 08204469. I am also prepared to bring this matter before the South African Police Services, armed with all the information needed to identify Wagener Andz.
He cannot escape accountability. Justice demands that he pays back twice the amount he stole. As the saying goes, “When a thief is caught, he must pay three times what he stole.” I am determined to see this principle enforced and ensure that this scammer faces the consequences of his actions in court.
This is a clear reminder that stealing is wrong—wicked and unforgivable. We must all strive to be better citizens, upholding honesty and integrity in our communities.
Wagener Andz, you will not get away with this. The law is on my side, and I will ensure that justice is served. You will pay for your crime, and I will make sure of it. Please see PS details below:
